The Rome leg of the Sustainability Tour

The Sustainability Tour by CNC Media and 3Bee is an ambitious and innovative project that aims to make new generations aware of environmental sustainability and the UN 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the second stage in Bologna, the third stage of the tour took place in Rome on 19 April 2023: in the morning we met the students of the Istituto Tecnico per il Turismo Cristoforo Colombo and in the afternoon we moved to La Sapienza University. The third stop in Rome was attended by more than 500 students with whom we spoke about all-round sustainability, with the aim of providing them with food for thought and concrete examples of how each of us can do our part to protect our planet.

What it means to be a Sustainability Disclosure

Virginia Castellucci, Business Developer and Sustainability Awareness of 3Bee, was the speaker at the Rome leg of the Sustainability Tour. In her speech, Virginia explained to the students why it is important to do sustainability outreach and what the job opportunities are in this field. "Today it is very difficult to find one's job path. Young people are more disoriented than in the past because we live in a dynamic world where there are constant changes. The change and the dynamism can be confusing, but we at 3Bee believe that if you are well oriented you can also find many new opportunities. We went to schools and universities to tell them about 3Bee and the new jobs that are emerging. We are confident that we have left young people with insights that will soon turn into new sustainable ideas."

    Student feedback

During the second leg of the Sustainability Tour, students showed great interest in the topics of sustainability and the protection of biodiversity. During the meetings, the participants showed strong active participation, interacting with the speakers and discussing the topics. The involvement of the students made the meetings a valuable opportunity for education and awareness-raising on sustainability and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Representatives from some of Italy's most important institutions - which sponsored the tour - also took part, including ASVIS - Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development and Italian Youth Association for UNESCO, as well as Barbascura, Italy's most popular science presenter. Together with Barbascura, we also presented the students with one of our Polly House, a tribute and symbol of the protection of biodiversity and the lone bees.

3Bee's role in the Sustainability Tour

3Bee is co-organiser and main partner of the Sustainability Tour. We are proud to be part of this ambitious education project in which we strongly believe, because the new generations have to face the climate challenges and related issues with greater awareness and competence than previous generations. With this tour we therefore want to raise awareness of environmental issues and provide students with useful tools to actively contribute to positive change and build the companies of the future in a sustainable way. At 3Bee, we are committed to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda, and with the Sustainability Tour we want to contribute in a tangible way to the awareness of young high school and university students.

Next stop on the tour: Naples

The Sustainability Tour continues: on Thursday 20 April we will arrive in Naples for the last leg of the tour. In the morning we will meet students from the Fermi Gadda Technical Institute and, in the afternoon, students from the University of Naples Federico II. On this stop, we will focus on the experience of our CEO Niccolò Calandri, who will tell the students about his story, his role, job opportunities in the field of sustainability, and also some curious anecdotes about the world of solitary bees and pollinators. The Naples stop is also sold out, but we invite you to follow our journey on our social channels, in particular Instagram and LinkedIn.
