The Bologna leg of the Sustainability Tour

The Sustainability Tour by CNC Media and 3Bee is an ambitious and innovative project that aims to make new generations aware of environmental sustainability and the UN 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the first stop in Milan, on 18 April 2023 the second stop of the tour took place in Bologna: in the morning we met the students of the Liceo Augusto Righi and in the afternoon we moved to the Alma Mater Studiorum University. The second stop in Bologna was attended by more than 400 students with whom we spoke about sustainability at 360 degrees: the aim of the tour is in fact to provide students with food for thought on how each of us can do our part to preserve our planet.

What it means to be a Biodiversity Engineer

Simone Mazzola, COO and Biodiversity Engineer of 3Bee, was the speaker at the Bologna leg of the Sustainability Tour. In his speech, Simone explained to the students his background and role, the challenges involved and the job opportunities in the field of sustainability. "technology and competence are key allies in protecting and preserving the environment, but we must also remember that positive impact cannot come only from a few isolated actors. We at 3Bee do monitoring and work with data, but it is crucial that companies, municipalities and individual citizens do their part to achieve a common goal: a sustainable future for all. Young students, in particular, can play their part and develop the necessary skills now to contribute to change."

    Student feedback

The second leg of the Sustainability Tour also featured representatives from some of Italy's most important institutions - which sponsored the tour - including ASviS - Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development and Italian Youth Association for UNESCO. In addition, Barbascura, Italy's most popular science presenter, entertained the students with a humorous and engaging speech. Participants interacted with the speakers by asking interesting questions, leading to a constructive debate on the topics discussed. The involvement of the students made the two meetings a valuable opportunity for training and awareness-raising on sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals.

3Bee's role in the Sustainability Tour

3Bee is co-organiser and main partner of the Sustainability Tour. We are proud to be part of this ambitious education project in which we strongly believe, because the new generations have to face the climate challenges and related issues with greater awareness and competence than previous generations. With this tour we therefore want to raise awareness of environmental issues and provide students with useful tools to actively contribute to positive change and build the companies of the future in a sustainable way. At 3Bee, we are committed to promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN 2030 Agenda, and with the Sustainability Tour we want to contribute in a tangible way to the awareness of young high school and university students.

In addition to our CEO Niccolò Calandri, who will be present at all stages of the tour, in Rome Virginia Castellucci, Biodiversity Trainer of 3Bee, will speak to explain to the students the importance of sustainable education and to deepen the issues related to her role in this field. The Rome stop is already sold out, but we invite you to follow our journey on our social channels, in particular Instagram and LinkedIn.
