Sanremo begins: Biodiversity from Blanco to Piero Pelù

The Festival di Saremo 2023 has begun, and consequently so has FantaSanremo. As FantaSanremo's Sustainability Partner, we couldn't help but comment on the highlights related to biodiversity, from Blanco's flowers to Piero Pelù's quote.

Start of the Italian Song Festival and FantaSanremo

The long-awaited Sanremo Festival has started and with it also FantaSanremo, a game that with irreverence, sarcasm and a good dose of competition has brought the new generations to follow, directly or indirectly, the most important singing competition in Italy. 3Bee and FantaSanremo have joined forces to create a unique partnership that will help promote the importance of biodiversity in the city of flowers. In fact, the sustainable bonus has been created, which awards +10 points to fantasy players every time a competing singer implements a sustainable action.

Piero Pelù 'unlocks' the Biodiversity Bonus

The first episode gave us a lot of good moments in the competition, but unfortunately the sustainability bonus was not unlocked, as per the rules, by any of the competing singers. In fact, it was the singer Piero Pelù who was invited as a guest to perform on the stage outside the Ariston, the 'Suzuki Stage'. The artist, greeting the presenter, immediately noticed the difference between his style of dress (leather jacket and studs) and that of Amadeus (dinner jacket and headscarf) and surprisingly began with an incisive sentence, reflecting the philosophy of 3Bee: "We are the demonstration that biodiversity can still exist on this Earth". . Spreading the concept of biodiversity and the importance of preserving it is crucial. Every citizen, in his or her own small way, can contribute to making the world a more sustainable place, starting with his or her daily actions.

A tree to compensate for Blanco's flowers

One of the most unexpected moments of the first evening was undoubtedlyBlanco's solo performance. The singer, winner together with Mahmood of Sanremo 2022, after communicating some problems with the audio sound of the earphones and microphone, 'concentrated' his energy in the physical performance, accentuating the previously organised choreography by kicking the flowers on stage as a setting for his song. The performance mirrored the video clip of the singer's single, but the audience in the hall was unaware of this, causing a stir. The audience reaction was strong, but we at 3Bee can tell Blanco not to worry. We compensate for the gesture by planting a nectar tree in the Oasis of Flowers. The Oasis was created precisely with the aim of planting a tree for every sustainable action performed by the singers. This was also an opportunity to bring the theme to the top.

    Take action to regenerate

Since its inception, 3Bee has structured projects based on scientific knowledge and technological advances with the aim of protecting and regenerating biodiversity. It all started with bees, the main bio-indicators of our ecosystems, with the project "Adopt a 3Bee hive". 3Bee has grown and embraced the concept of biodiversity more and more, understanding in which ways we could intervene to rebuild a balance broken by various factors: global warming, extreme urbanisation, intensive agriculture. The project 'Adotta un albero" is designed precisely to regenerate the Italian territory by planting nectariferous, scalar-flowering forests, capable of producing nectar and pollen to feed pollinators throughout the year. What are you waiting for, suggest on social media to the members of your FantaSanremo team to sustain the sustainable bonus!.
