Climate technologies and sustainability investments
In a context where sustainable investments emerge as crucial elements for creating corporate value and regulatory compliance, 62% of executives plan to increase budgets dedicated to sustainability, with an average increase of 10.5%. Climate technologies are at the heart of this trend, with 72% of leaders intending to invest in areas such as hydrogen, renewable energy, batteries, nuclear, and carbon capture. Batteries, in particular, are positioned as the main climate technology investment by 2025, with more than half of the executives ranking them among the top three priorities, especially in the manufacturing and automotive sectors. Other investment areas include research and development of sustainable products, biodiversity protection and water resource management.
