The second year of the free Sustainability Programme kicks off

3Bee, a leading company in the Nature Tech sector, renews its educational plan dedicated to primary schools with the new completely free programme "3Bee: at school for biodiversity". A unique opportunity to expand the educational curriculum with a high-level environmental sustainability training, all elaborated and provided free of charge by the scientific team of 3Bee. And the success is already tangible: within days of the launch, no less than 50 schools have joined the programme. The project fits perfectly into the context of current Italian legislation, which, with Constitutional Law no. 1 of 11 February 2022, has amended Articles 9 and 41 of the Constitution by inserting the protection of the environment, of biodiversity and of ecosystems as fundamental principles of the Italian legal system, also in the interest of the future generations.

At school for biodiversity: what the programme includes

With this new pathway, 3Bee renews its commitment to education for sustainability and in particular to the protection of biodiversity with a Digital Learning approach, designed to involve and bring children and teachers even closer to the important topic of protecting biodiversity and pollinating insects. "3Bee: at school for biodiversity" comprises 9 modules dedicated to investigating biodiversity from several perspectives: from the importance of pollinating insects to the effects of climate change, and the great bio-indicator, the biodiversity, and monitoring the health of ecosystems. A flexible course, which can be integrated into the curriculum at various times during the year and focuses on the combination of digital and science subjects, with practical workshops and activities to be carried out at home. A programme with high involvement not only of teachers and children, but also of families, who will thus be able to cultivate virtuous behaviour in their daily lives.

Digital Oasis: the role of technology

Participating teachers and classes will have the opportunity to remotely monitor the health of a biomonitoring hive, cared for by a 3Bee beekeeper engaged in the conservation of the nectar and woodland resources surrounding the hive. Thanks to the 3Bee technology, through the Digital Oasis, the class will have access to an online portal, which will function as a container for the teaching materials of the programme and the updates from the field of the assigned beekeeper/educator, in the form of instant videos and photos. The teaching materials provided by 3Bee are carefully designed to combine scientific comprehensiveness with ease of use, making them accessible to teachers of all backgrounds and expertise. This inclusive approach allows the teacher to create classroom projects dedicated to biodiversity that can be adapted to meet all students' learning needs and challenges.

Companies can also contribute by supporting a school

3Bee opens up the possibility and is actively looking for companies interested in joining a school in this educational journey focused on biodiversity. This initiative offers a direct and meaningful way for companies to realise their ESG goals through a commitment to social sustainability on the ground. In particular, it is an ideal option for companies wishing to mitigate their environmental impact and contribute constructively to the community by supporting an educational curriculum that prepares young people for a more demanding future in terms of sustainability. The goal: to train ambassadors of change

3Bee therefore promotes environmental education not only as an investment in the future, but as a powerful lever to establish a lasting positive change in individuals of all ages. By launching "3Bee: at school for biodiversity", the Nature Tech pioneer aims to weave a network of institutes that become true "ambassadors of change". Indeed, the programme represents an important opportunity for teachers and children to become active players in the fight for the safeguarding of our planet. Education for the protection of biodiversity in particular will increasingly be a priority in our schools, not only to align with the new constitutional principles, but above all to form young citizens and families of tomorrow who are aware and responsible. Because it is from the school benches that the future generations grow and it is therefore a duty to provide them with the tools and transmit the awareness to face environmental challenges.

"3Bee: at school for biodiversity" on Tele Ambiente TV

In the first episode of the new season of CrescimiTu, aired on TeleAmbiente TV, we had the opportunity to talk about the project "3Bee: at school for biodiversity", created to combine schooling with biodiversity and respect for the environment. Lucrezia Palma, 3Bee's Sustainability and Innovation Expert, told CrescimiTu's microphones what the initiative consists of: "The path is structured on nine school modules that go from September to May, to accompany the class throughout the schooling path, but these are not binding modules, everything remains at the discretion of the teacher". During the episode, one of the teachers from the over 300 schools participating in the project also spoke about her first-hand experience with 3Bee's sustainability programme for primary schools.
