Sustainability Tour: the fourth stop in Naples

The Sustainability Tour by CNC Media and 3Bee is an ambitious and innovative project that aims to make new generations aware of environmental sustainability and the UN 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). After the third stop in Rome, on 20 April 2023 the fourth and final stop of the tour took place in Naples: in the morning we met the students of the Istituto Tecnico Fermi Gadda and in the afternoon we moved to the University of Naples Federico II. The fourth stop in Naples was attended by over 400 students with whom we talked about sustainability at 360 degrees: the aim of the tour is in fact to provide young students with food for thought and concrete examples of how each of us can do our part to protect our planet.

Niccolò Calandri, CEO of 3Bee, was the speaker at the Naples leg of the Sustainability Tour. In his speech, Niccolò explained to the students what it means to be CEO of Biodiversity, what the job opportunities are in this field and some anecdotes about the world of bees and pollinators. "Being the speaker at this stage and sharing my entrepreneurial experience and my passion for biodiversity with high school and university students was wonderful. Once again, I found great interest and participation from the students, and this confirms that awareness of environmental sustainability issues is fundamental to building a better future. We are happy to have been able to take our message to all the cities on the tour and hope that our contribution will inspire new ideas and new sustainable initiatives."

The fourth leg of the Sustainability Tour also featured representatives from some of Italy's most important institutions - which sponsored the tour - including ASviS - Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development and Italian Youth Association for UNESCO. In addition, Barbascura, Italy's most popular science presenter, entertained the students with a humorous and engaging speech. Participants interacted with the speakers by asking interesting questions, leading to a constructive debate on the topics discussed. The involvement of the students made the meetings a valuable opportunity for training and awareness-raising on sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals.

3Bee is co-organiser and main partner of the Sustainability Tour. We are proud to be part of this ambitious education project in which we strongly believe, because the new generations have to face the climate challenges and related issues with greater awareness and competence than previous generations. Four stops around Italy and over 2000 students met: the first edition of the Sustainability Tour comes to an end. We are happy to have realised the Sustainability Tour, which allowed us to meet so many students and raise their awareness of the issues of the UN 2030 Agenda's Sustainable Development Goals. Thanks to the collaboration with CNC Media and the support of important institutions, we had the opportunity to share with them our experience, our skills and our commitment to the protection of biodiversity and environmental sustainability. We are convinced that the next generation is the key to building a sustainable and responsible future, and we hope that our contribution has helped to inspire them and give them the tools they need to make a difference.
