TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND TRAINING FOR BEEKEEPERS

Measure A includes sub-actions specifically aimed at research institutions, organisations and associated forms. Specifically, we find refresher and training courses, seminars and thematic conferences. Other funded initiatives include communication actions, teaching aids, subscriptions, information sheets and brochures. Technical assistance to companies also falls under these expenditure headings. Sub-Action A.6) Equipment for apiary management, processing, packaging and preservation of beekeeping products. Sub-action A.6, on the other hand, is aimed at individual or associated beekeepers, having their operational headquarters in Calabria, in possession of a regular VAT number for beekeeping or agriculture, and with a regular registration of apiaries in the BDA. It is also necessary to have regularly constituted the company file with a CAA, to be registered with the CCIAA and to possess at least 200 hives.

    MAXIMUM EXPENDITURE

The maximum eligible expenditure per company is EUR 10,000, while the minimum threshold is EUR 1,000. In addition to all documentation relating to the applicant and the company (identity documents, beehive report, health authorisation in the case of purchase of honey extraction room equipment, etc.), a technical report and two estimates for each item of expenditure must be submitted with supporting report and possible self-certification in the case of a sole supplier. This sub-action includes interventions to purchase equipment to improve beekeeping and breeding, including innovative interventions for packaging and preservation of honey and other bee products.

    RATIONALISATION OF TRANSHUMANCE

Funding covers 50% of eligible expenditure. Beneficiaries are individual or associated beekeepers who have their registered office in Calabria, regularly report their hives to the BDA and have a regular agricultural or beekeeping VAT number. It is also necessary to have more than 200 hives, to have a company file with a CAA, and to have regular registration with the CCIAA. It must also be demonstrated, by means of a specific technical report, that nomadism is practised. This sub-action finances the purchase of machinery, equipment and various specific materials that facilitate and make the practice of nomadism manageable and safe. The maximum eligible expenditure per beneficiary is EUR 15,000, while the minimum threshold is EUR 1,000. In addition to all documentation concerning the applicant and the company, a technical report and two estimates for each item of expenditure with supporting report must be submitted.

    3Bee Monitoring Systems

This also includes our remote monitoring systems. Our scales and anti-theft devices allow for better and more rational management of beekeeping activity, especially in the case of nomadism. Having your bees under control at all times, you can plan targeted visits and interventions, avoiding empty trips and saving time. Monitoring devices will also provide you with valuable information on production and stock consumption, as well as the state of the colony. On your profile you can organise your work, enter notes, schedule activities and even set warning thresholds. With anti-theft devices you can then protect your crates and monitor them in case of theft. As soon as the system detects abnormal movement or vibration, specific alarms are sent to you via SMS and email. By entering the app, you can directly track your movements around the house.
