    LIGURIA REGION

The measures provided for in the notice approved by the Liguria region on 20 December 2018 are mainly aimed at individual beekeepers, whether beekeeping entrepreneurs or professional beekeepers. It is necessary, however, to be in possession of a company file regularly kept at a CAA (Centro di Assistenza in Agricoltura). Each individual beneficiary may submit only one application, the amount of which may not be less than €300. Sub-action A.6: Equipment for running the apiary, processing, packaging and preserving beekeeping products The beneficiaries of this measure are individual beekeepers with at least 20 duly registered hives and beekeeping associations. Eligible expenditure concerns the purchase of honey extractors and steel maturers. As far as honey extractors are concerned, each beneficiary may purchase a maximum of 1, with a maximum eligible cost of €3,000.

    Measures

Sub-action b.3: Purchase of hives This measure concerns the purchase of new hives specifically for Varroa control and is aimed at individual beekeepers. The hives to be purchased must comply with the description provided in the notice. If this is not the case, specific authorisation must be obtained. For each hive purchased, there is a maximum expenditure of 70€. Contributions cover 60% of expenses. When submitting your application, you must provide form 1 attached to the call for funds, 3 cost estimates and a copy of the SCIA of your honey extraction workshop, if applicable.

Purchase of queen bees and swarms

Sub-action e.1: Purchase of queen bees and swarms The beneficiaries of this measure are both associations, which purchase swarms on behalf of their members, and individual beekeepers. The purchase of only bees belonging to the Apis mellifera ligustica breed is envisaged, with a maximum expenditure of €13 per queen and €90 per swarm. The funding covers 60 per cent of the costs. However, there are constraints on the submission of applications. Beekeepers who sold swarms or queen bees during 2018 are not eligible for funding. Furthermore, those who receive funding must not sell either their queens or their swarms for the whole of 2019. Finally, the purchased material must be kept on the farm for at least 1 year. To apply, form 1 attached to the notice is required, together with the beekeeper's identity card, and a copy of the SCIA of their honey extraction workshop, if applicable.

    Submission of Applications

Applications must be submitted no later than 25 February 2019 and must be prepared on the basis of the AGEA model that can be downloaded from the SIAN website.
