We are a start-up Agri-Tech born in December 2016 from an idea of Niccolò Calandri, an engineer, and Riccardo Balzaretti, a biologist and beekeeper, with the aim of pursuing a precise goal: to develop projects with a strong environmental impact in the world with the help of technology. A goal that has become more and more concrete over the years, but which remains in constant evolution and expansion. Today, we are a young team of 35 professionals, divided into 3 teams: research & development, operations and impact. Respectively: the technological mind, the organisational arm and the voice of sustainability.

From the very beginning, we have worked to provide concrete and impactful support for the protection of biodiversity. With the monitoring system Hive-Tech we have supported the work of beekeepers and protected bees, both of which are affected by the consequences of climate change and other threats, such as pests and excessive urbanisation. With the 'Adopt a Beehive' project, also developed as CSR, we realised our desire to involve people and companies in spreading sustainability. In particular, we realised the projects Education, dedicated to schools, and Academy aimed at companies. Both consisted of engaging, educational and unforgettable activities. We haven't forgotten about the solitary bees either, for whom we have created refuges: the polly houses.

To offer all adopters a complete and unique experience, we have created the Box3Bee with which to redeem a beehive and learn about 3Bee, the world of pollinators and our network of beekeepers. We started with bees to understand the environmental needs of our planet, giving companies the opportunity to plant nectariferous forests, a project that will soon allow anyone to adopt a tree. Finally, we created BeEnergy, an agri-voltaic project, to make the most of photovoltaic/wind farms and promote bee conservation. In a not-too-distant future we will also cross national borders, taking the 3Bee projects to France and Germany.

Sustainability, uniqueness and collaboration are the basis of our philosophy. What unites all members of 3Bee is the commitment to sustainability and the willingness to concretely and carefully play their part in ensuring a better present and future for the planet and all its inhabitants. Just like bees, we work in synergy, always offering the best of our skills and knowledge. Each innovative project is the result of everyone's inventiveness and professional commitment.

In just a few months the 3Bee team has grown exponentially, which is why at the end of September we organised two days of Team Building in the province of Pavia. We chose a location close to our 3Bee apiary because we organised an immersive experience in contact with bees. With the arrival of many new people within 3Bee, the Back to Hive was conceived as a moment to create real human contacts and to establish relationships of trust and esteem. Each team is made up of people from all over Italy. The smartworking, which has been our practice for years, makes direct contact between the resources of each team even more necessary and profitable. Through the same activities, we tried to step into each other's shoes, to try to understand all the facets of our work.

The importance of Team Building moments such as our Back to hive are crucial for any company that cares about the well-being and motivation of its employees. Having experienced at first hand the effectiveness of these activities, based on confrontation, meeting, education and team motivation, makes the proposals aimed at other companies even more complete and stimulating. To know and promote biodiversity and motivate one's team is a doubly winning result.
