    3Bee's approach to biodiversity protection

3Bee is the Nature Tech company that develops technologies for the protection of biodiversity. 3Bee Hive-Tech is 3Bee's first system for analysing the health and 'starvation' status of honeybees, environmental pests par excellence. Over time, we have developed other technologies to study and monitor all the pollinating insects and created more than 200 Oases of Biodiversity with thousands of nectariferous plants to provide them with nourishment. Thus, we want to create a virtuous circle: our beekeepers are transformed by necessity into Oasis growers and promoters of environmental biodiversity. We do not encourage massive production and intensive breeding, which have a negative impact on biodiversity and pollinators. We do, however, recognise the value of honey as a valuable symbol of the biodiversity of an environment and a tool for disseminating the commitment and protection of an area, to be consumed sparingly and with respect for the life cycle of these insects.

    The problems of pollinators

However, bees, and pollinators in general, are not having a good time. Pesticides, diseases, parasites, habitat depletion and climate change are posing increasing dangers that are endangering their wellbeing and survival. Currently, it is beekeepers who are responsible for ensuring the health of hives in a world where this is becoming increasingly difficult. Supporting Italian beekeepers, who are concerned about the welfare of their bees, is therefore very important.

Adopt a beehive in Le Marche

In the Marche region, there are currently more than 2800 beekeepers, including professionals and hobbyists who produce honey for their own consumption, for a total of more than 70,000 hives. In this region, beekeeping is widespread and many of the companies have a long tradition that has been handed down from father to son. We could define beekeeping in the Marche as short-range. In fact, nomadism over long distances is not generally practised. This means that hives are certainly moved in search of perhaps the most precious and targeted blooms, but they are never taken too far from their usual location. Among the most widely produced honeys are a vast variety of millefiori, each one different according to where it is produced, sunflower, acacia, dandelion and chestnut.

The beekeepers of the Marche region

Beekeepers from the Marche region are also part of the Adopt a hive network. By choosing one of the available hives, you can enjoy excellent honey and remotely monitor the hive. Diego Bucci. The man with the bees: Diego's bees are lucky to be near the sea, in the province of Pesaro. In his 'oasis' far from the modern hustle and bustle, Diego and his bees produce their own millefiori honey. Riccardo. Il Riccio: Riccardo, of the Il Riccio farm, represents a genuine reality of the Marche region. There, respecting nature, his bees produce honey from millefiori, lime, chestnut and acacia. Matteo. Apiteo Apiculture: His first hives belonged to an elderly beekeeper who was finishing his business. Matteo also drew on his experience, gathering the advice of more than 60 years of experience.
