CMO Honey Lombardy: funding for beekeeping

The call for contributions for beekeeping in Lombardy is now open. On 4 November, in fact, the OCM Honey notice for the Lombardy region was officially published. Lombardy beekeepers will therefore be able to submit their applications for funding over the next few weeks. The measures funded are aimed at both individual beekeepers and associations of beekeepers. Technical assistance and training Measure A is for technical assistance and professional training of beekeepers. This measure includes expenses for updating of technicians seminars teaching aids, subscriptions, information sheets and brochures technical assistance to companies The beneficiaries of this measure are exclusively beekeeping associations, which receive different funding according to the actions considered.

    The Beneficiaries

Beneficiaries of measures B and C are beekeeping producers with a registered office in Lombardy. They must have a regular VAT number and have beehives registered according to the regulations in force. If they have their registered office in Mountainous Less Favoured Areas, it is sufficient to have at least 40 regularly registered hives. For all others, the minimum threshold of hives is 80. These beekeepers must also have an open and updated business file in Sis.Co. In the specific case of Measure C, nomadism is obviously required. Submitting an application A necessary condition for submitting an application is to have set up and updated your company file with the Paying Agency of Lombardy. The application must be submitted exclusively electronically by filling in the computerised application, available in the Lombardy Region's Information System (SisCo).

    Purchase of hive management tools

Included in the expenses for the rationalisation of transhumance are our remote monitoring systems. Our scales and anti-theft devices allow better and more rational management of beekeeping activity, especially in the case of nomadism. Having your bees under control at all times, you can plan targeted visits and interventions, avoiding empty trips and saving time. Monitoring devices will also provide you with valuable information on production and stock consumption, as well as the state of the colony. On your profile you can organise your work, enter notes, schedule activities and even set warning thresholds. With anti-theft devices you can then protect your crates and monitor them in case of theft. As soon as the system detects abnormal movement or vibration, specific alarms are sent to you via SMS and email. By entering the app, you can directly track your movements around the house.
