They must be in possession of a VAT number and a business file set up with a CAA as well as being registered in the business registry by the CCIAA. The actions covered by the funding are varied and concern not only beekeepers, but also research bodies and associations.

    Action C: Rationalisation of transhumance

This action provides for a single sub-action concerning the purchase of machinery, equipment and various materials specific to the practice of nomadism. In particular, this sub-action covers the purchase of cranes and wheelbarrows. The beneficiaries are, of course, those beekeepers who practise nomadism and have more than 200 registered hives. The financing covers 50 per cent of the costs, with a maximum amount of EUR 15,000 for the purchase of cranes and EUR 1,000 for wheelbarrows.. Read on to find out how to apply.

Action E: Support measures for restocking

The expenses covered by this action concern the purchase of queen bees and swarms. The contribution covers 60% of the expenditure, the maximum limit of which varies according to the beneficiary applying for funding. The maximum number of swarms and queen bees that can be purchased must also respect a maximum threshold calculated on the basis of the number of hives declared at the time of application. It should be noted that only bees belonging to the Apis millifera ligustica and Apis mellifera sicula breed can be purchased.
