The measures to be financed are the following A) Technical assistance to beekeepers and beekeepers' organisations: refresher courses, seminars, communication actions B) Fight against hive aggressors and diseases, in particular varroasis Purchase of various equipment purchase of suitable veterinary drugs and sterilisation C) Rationalisation of transhumance purchase of beehives purchase of machinery, equipment and various materials specific to nomadism E) Support measures to repopulate the Union's bee population purchase of swarms, nuclei, bee packs, queen bees Measures B, C and E are aimed directly at beekeepers and will therefore be analysed in more detail. Sub-Action b.3) Purchase of various equipment The maximum expenditure amounts to EUR 100.00 (excluding VAT) for the purchase of net-bottomed hives and hives with heat treatment system. The subsidy is 60% of the maximum eligible expenditure.

Contributions are granted up to a maximum of 50% of eligible expenditure for the purchase of operating machinery, equipment and materials necessary for handling hives, monitoring hives and their telematic management, excluding the purchase of vehicles with registration plates, palmtops, computers, etc. The maximum eligible expenditure for these operations must not exceed €14,000.00 (excluding VAT) per beneficiary who has duly registered at least 60 hives. For the purchase of forklifts or similar motorised vehicles, on the other hand, the maximum eligible expenditure is increased to EUR 28,000.00. Contributions are granted for the purchase of swarms/families and queen bees of the Ligustica breed, produced in Italy, to the extent of 60% of the maximum eligible expenditure: €90.00 per family purchase including queen and €16.00 for the queen alone.
