    Beneficiaries

Beekeepers, beekeeping entrepreneurs, professional beekeepers, associations, public, private and research bodies can apply for funding. Other beneficiaries include beekeeping organisations, producer unions and consortia. Beekeepers, beekeeping contractors and professional beekeepers must be in order to register their hives with the national beekeeping registry office. They must also have a regular VAT number and be registered with the relevant CCIAA. It is also necessary to have a company file set up with a CAA. The number of hives in possession is also a specific requirement. Basically, the minimum number has been set at 50 census hives. For those who reported hives for the first time in 2020, this number is lowered to 10. Where applicable, one must be in good standing with the INPS contribution position.

Action A - Technical assistance to beekeepers

This action includes refresher and training courses (A1.2), thematic seminars and conferences (A2), various communication actions (A3) and technical assistance to companies (A4). All these sub-actions are aimed at research institutes, bodies and associations. Sub-Action A6, on the other hand, is addressed directly to beekeepers. It relates to equipment for running the apiary, processing, packaging and preserving beekeeping products. This sub-action is aimed at improving working conditions and the technological level of beekeeping holdings, also with a view to increasing the quality of farm production. Eligible expenses include those for apiary management equipment (blower, wax remover, sublimator, equipment for remote control of apiaries, etc.) and for the processing, packaging and preservation of beekeeping products.

    Purchasing our beehive monitoring systems

Our remote monitoring systems are also included in this type of expenditure. Our scales and anti-theft devices allow for better and more rational management of beekeeping activity, especially in the case of nomadism. Having your bees under control at all times, you can plan targeted visits and interventions, avoiding empty trips and saving time. Monitoring devices will also provide you with valuable information on production and stock consumption, as well as the state of the colony. On your profile you can organise your work, enter notes, schedule tasks and even set warning thresholds. With anti-theft devices you can then protect your crates and monitor them in case of theft. As soon as the system detects abnormal movement or vibration, specific alarms are sent to you via SMS and email. By entering the app, you can directly track your movements around the house.

    Further measures

Action B - Fight against hive aggressors and diseases, in particular varroasis This action includes regular meetings with beekeepers (B1), field surveys (B2), purchase of drugs and sterilisation (B4) and the purchase of net-bottomed hives (B3). Of these sub-actions, only B3 is aimed at beekeepers and bee entrepreneurs. Funding covers 60% of expenditure for complete beehives with varroa net bottoms. The maximum expenditure limit is 7,000€ for beekeepers and 9,000€ for associations. Action C - Rationalisation of transhumance Sub-action C2.2 concerns the purchase of machinery, equipment and various materials for nomadism. The measure is aimed at nomadic beekeepers owning more than 200 hives. The maximum expenditure limit is 15,000€ with a 50% coverage of expenses. Action D - Measures to support analysis laboratories. This measure concerns the qualitative analysis of beekeeping products.
