Amara Net Zero: planting to engage and raise awareness

The word 'impact' indicates the effects caused by an event or action on the environment. For us at Amara Net Zero Italia, 'impact' means actually acting towards change. We strive in our daily lives to make this happen, to ensure that change starts from small things, from small everyday gestures. Beginning with recycling in our offices, to the use of environmentally sustainable material for our events, we also choose partners who support the same values as we do and are willing to take the same path towards the Net Zero goal. .

Thanks to the company 3Bee, we have created a forest of 100 nectariferous trees (Wild Cherries, Field Maples, Mountain Maples and Greater Ash Trees) to help safeguard the indispensable pollinating insects. Precisely because we believe in the project we have cooperated in the planting activity itself by making the people, who are part of our company, aware of the importance of the impact each gesture has on the environment we live in and how important it is to safeguard it.

Sustainability practices have beensuccessfully implemented in our company and we are mainly working on point 7 among the 17 global sustainable development goals. So we are moving and working to ensure that energy systems should not only be environmentally sustainable but should also be available to everyone. As a company, in addition to spreading clean and sustainable energy production, we are also helping to introduce responsible production and consumption patterns, reducing waste and thus respecting the environment.

Certainly, our company, which is a distributor of material for photovoltaic systems, has immediately sought to take advantage of this. We have in fact installed aphotovoltaic system in order to be able to reduce the energy consumption of our offices, we try to consume less paper and give more space to the development of digital work, we sort and recycle waste products and packaging. Our biggest project in terms of sustainability was the project carried out withthe team of the company 3Bee with whom we planted in 2022, 100 native nectariferous trees that will make a major impact in terms of: 1 grower supported; 72 kg of nectar that will provide nutrient sources for all pollinators for 20 years; 7.15 t of CO2 removed from the atmosphere in one year.

Throughout the Amara Net Zero group we promulgate 7 values that we strive to uphold during our work but also in our daily lives. These are creativity, respect for the environment, empathy, agility, team work, integrity and trust. Certainly for the project we have carried out together with 3Bee, one of the aspects that reflects our corporate values is respect for the environment, but also team work, since we did the planting of the forest together by taking the field as a team and committing ourselves to the protection of the environment.
