3Bee and XNatura at Ecomondo 2025: Environmental monitoring and AI

Ecomondo 2025 is confirmed as the leading event in Europe and the Mediterranean basin for the green, blue and circular economy, placing Italy at the centre of the global debate. The 2025 edition, scheduled from 4th to 7th November at the Rimini Expo Centre, is organised into macro exhibition areas and focuses on crucial topics such as digitalisation, Artificial Intelligence, and sustainable resource management from a circular economy perspective. The fair is not just an exhibition area but a true "circular innovation laboratory." In this dynamic context, the restoration and ecological regeneration of ecosystems emerge as strategic pillars. It is here that 3Bee and XNatura bring their solutions: a concrete response that uses advanced technology to measure and analyse environmental impact, demonstrating how scientific innovation can accelerate the ecological transition and create ecological and social value.

3Bee focuses on creating a positive environmental and social impact through concrete projects of land regeneration, such as the Biodiversity Oases. These habitats are true refuges for pollinators and native nectariferous flora. Each Oasis is precisely monitored through satellite analysis and IoT sensors in the field, with KPIs visible in real-time on the dedicated environmental platform. To date, 3Bee has regenerated degraded areas and involved a network of Biodiversity Cultivators, growers and beekeepers trained by the 3Bee team who care for and manage the interventions. This dual approach, field regeneration and scientific monitoring, allows partner companies to transform their corporate sustainability investments into quantifiable results according to their ESG objectives.

XNatura acts as an AI environmental consultant, bringing expertise and data to serve corporate regeneration and sustainability. Its method is structured into four phases. It begins with the Ecological Assessment & Baseline, where the Biodiversity Expert team analyses the site, mapping habitats, species, and potential to define the starting baseline. Then, the Digital Twinning & Data Fusion phase utilises the AI platform to aggregate multi-source data, creating a "digital twin" of the site to monitor indices and metrics in real-time. These data are then translated into concrete and measurable actions in the Strategy and Design (Human-Led) phase, where specialists design targeted interventions defining KPIs to maximise impact. Finally, the Continuous Monitoring & Reporting provides proof of impact: interactive dashboards, reports, and georeferenced evidence track progress against the KPIs, providing clear data to support strategic decisions.
